Ed Blakemore is an Assistant General Counsel at Rockwell Automation, where he manages the litigation function of the Law Department including formal lawsuits and claims as well as providing proactive strategic counseling to several business units. Ed assumed responsibility for global records management and retention in 2019. He investigated 47 employee complaints in 2 years as the Ombudsman’s Chief Investigative Counsel. Ed led a cross-functional team that created a new comprehensive policy for insider risk investigations. He has implemented a strategy for the selection and retention of diverse outside legal counsel. Ed provides regular counseling to business stakeholders to limit risk and achieve desired outcomes. Ed was recognized as the Law Department’s “Value Champion” in 2018.
