The panel will discuss how litigation is used in different ways to achieve justice and equity, not only for the AAPI community but also other communities and groups that have been discriminated against or targeted. The discussion will touch on cases led by Asian American attorneys, including Bill Lann Lee, the former Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights during the Clinton Administration; Steven Wu, Deputy Solicitor General to the New York State Attorney General’s Office; Lindsay Nako, Director of Litigation and Training at the Impact Fund; and Christopher Leung, a partner at the litigation boutique, Pollock Cohen LLP.  

The panel will also address the practice more generally, the representation of Asian American attorneys in litigation, and what Asian American attorneys can do to help advance the larger causes of unity, justice, and equity.
